One day, he took up arms because of his deep love for his beloved motherland. After the independence of Bangladesh, he became involved in active politics as well as cultural activities. After graduating from Chittagong University and completing the first post-graduate course in political science, he did not continue his studies.
Mohan was born with a strong interest in music. He started his formal career as a student of Chittagong Sangeet Parishad. But later the environment and the situation at one point made him concentrate on the practice of protest culture as opposed to formal music education. When the 21st Celebration Committee was formed in Chittagong in 1984, he played a pivotal role there for several years by reorganizing the Kranti Shilpi Gosthi. Mohan became accustomed to conducting all these activities despite various obstacles.
Mahbubul Haider Mohan started living permanently in Dhaka from 1983. Responding to the call of the time, he started the almost inactive Kranti Shilpi group. In December 1964, he convened the famous cultural figure Kazi Bahauddin Ahmed and started the process of reorganizing the revolution in a house in Segun Bagichar. Kamal Lohani, Amanul Haque and others, one of the founders of the revolution in the 70's, were also involved in the process. . The newly formed Kranti started its journey by morning ferry in '75. . Since then, the progress of the revolution has continued. Last year, on the occasion of his death anniversary, the revered artist Malay Kumar Ganguly was awarded the 'Mahbubul Haider Mohan Padak'.
The country's eminent poet Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury glorified this organization from the President of the Death Revolution. Before him, Sayyid Moazzem Hossain was the president of Kranti for some time. After the death of Mr. Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury, Mahbubul Haider Mohan was the president of Amrutu Kranti. The late Mohan was born in Chauddagram of Comilla. His father, the late Amin Ullah Majumdar, was an officer of the British Railways. Due to his father's job, he spent his childhood in different parts of the country.
During his lifetime, Mr. Mohan has spent most of his time organizing music. He never looked forward to releasing his solo album. One of the songs released by him is the song "Amar Bhalobasar Swadesh", the folk song "In exchange for millions of lives". Some of the country songs recorded in his voice are often shown on various television channels. After being diagnosed with cancer, he received treatment in Thailand and India.
Asaduzzaman Nur, Nasir Uddin Yusuf Bachchu, Golam Quddus, Hasan Arif and other activists of the joint cultural alliance and Kranti have tried their best for his treatment. The South Asian Music Society in New York organized a special benefit concert with the medical help of freedom fighter Mohan. The song 'In exchange for millions of lives' written and sung by Shahid Hasan, a vocalist of Swadhin Bangla Betar living in New York, was widely acclaimed by Mahbubul Haider Mohan.
